Popular Japanese beef bowl chain Sukiya opens in Donghu, featuring affordable beef bowls and korokke (croquette) sets

Yesterday I ended up having lunch after 2 PM, but luckily I remembered there was a new beef bowl shop near Donghu Huzhou Station.<专卖店，赶快来去吃吧。

This is the place～ It’s one of Japan’s top three beef bowl chains,<连锁店之一，葫洲店是台湾的第六家分店，上个星期才试营运，2/25才正试营业，看旁边的花蓝也知道很新呀XD，这家离捷运站可以说是近到不行，从二号出口往康宁路三段的方向，出来右转第二间店就是了，第一间是争鲜寿司。

Even though it was past 2 PM, there were still quite a few people dining. There are some trendy figurines at the entrance you can check out.

When you walk in to find a seat, if you’re getting takeout, there’s an ordering area up front.

Each seat has a menu you can refer to. To order, you can call a staff member over, and they’ll come take your order. The main offerings here are divided into two categories: beef bowls<跟咖喱饭，老K就先点了牛N<青菜套餐中碗来试试好了，有牛N<、青菜跟味噌汤只要99元真的满平价的，后面也有一些单点的品项。

Beef bowl<青菜套餐中碗(99元)

Beef bowl<虽然是中碗但比老想的还大碗，牛N<青菜套餐，青菜虽然不多，但还不错吃，不会很油腻还带点淡淡的胡椒味。

The miso soup was a bit salty XD, but the miso flavor was pretty rich～

Beef bowl<的牛肉片给的还满多的，味道是咸甜咸甜的，但偏咸一些， 最好跟白饭一起入口咸度会比较刚好，老K觉得还不错，但不算是美味，这个价位可以吃到不少牛肉片算是很划算了，吃完中碗比老K想像中的多一些，所以咖喱饭就吃迷你碗好了XD

Korokke curry mini set (NT$109)

The miso soup in the bowl above is what was left from Old K’s set. The curry isn’t included by default. The curry was actually more flavorful than Old K expected. What’s special about this curry is that it has pickled cucumber and pickled radish slices, so it’s a bit saltier, but you get a nice crunchy texture in return. Old K thinks it’s better than the beef bowl<好吃XD

The korokke was quite thick and substantial—just picking it up felt heavy. Glad I didn’t order two pieces, that would’ve been too much XD

Added some korokke sauce～ The korokke crust was super crispy～ The crust wasn’t too thick, and the mashed potato inside was very smooth and dense～ On its own it’s not very strongly flavored, but with the sweet and sour korokke sauce, it was really tasty～ Had way too many carbs in this meal XD

Old K’s little tip: Sukiya is even more affordable than Old K thought～ Eating all this only cost NT$208, probably the cheapest Japanese chain around～ The beef bowl<味道老K觉得OK，牛肉片多少会柴一些，牛N<青菜套餐中碗还满超值的，看到不少人都点这套餐，有牛N<、青菜、味噌汤不到一百元很值得一吃，咖喱饭比较对老K的味，可惜咸了一些，可乐饼也不错吃，整体来说是一家比吃粗饱还好的一家店， CP值算是高，不过如果要排队的话可能就要看个人了，老K可能就跳过了XD， 给大家参考一下。
