Overlooking Kaohsiung from the clouds – The “Gangshan Eye” Skywalk Opens in 2017

Greater and Lesser Gangshan Mountains and Agongdian Reservoir are popular spots for locals to engage in exercise, hiking, and leisure.To boost local tourism, the Kaohsiung City Government will buildan 88-meter-long sky corridor called the “Gangshan Eye,”

which is expected to be completed and open to the public in July 2017.The Gangshan Eye Skywalk takes advantage of the terrain's elevation difference and superior views. The bridge is 88 meters long, with pillars 40 meters high. The horizontal span of the skywalk is about 70 meters, and the highest point is approximately 17 meters above the ground.

With its eccentric suspension design, the walkway is suspended mid-air, giving visitors the sensation of walking on clouds while offering sweeping views of Greater and Lesser Gangshan Mountains, Agongdian Reservoir, and northern Kaohsiung.
