The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications launched a nationwide Spring Travel Campaign starting April 2019. In Tainan City, from Sundays to Thursdays during May and June 2019, independent travelers staying at qualified accommodations participating in the campaign can receive up to NT$500 per room per night in accommodation subsidy, deducted directly by the accommodation provider using the ID number of one of the guests.

Young people aged “18 to under 40” staying at homestays in Tainan’s YanShui District and Houpi District enjoy an extra discount – on top of the basic NT$500 subsidy, they can receive an additional one-time NT$500 subsidy.

The details of Tainan City’s “Spring Travel Campaign” independent traveler accommodation discount are as follows. The promotion runs on Sundays to Thursdays during May and June 2019.
2. NT$500 (hereinafter the same) per room per night will be deducted based on the actual accommodation price. Each person’s National ID number can only be used once, and the stay must be on a Sunday to Thursday.
3. For guests aged 18 or above but under 40 on the day of check-in who have already used the aforementioned NT$500 deduction, those staying at homestays in Tainan’s YanShui District or Houpi District may use an additional one-time NT$500 deduction per room per night.
4. The Tainan City Government has allocated a subsidy fund of NT$20 million. If the funds are exhausted before the promotion period ends, an announcement will be made to halt further applications. Please ensure timely registration and pay attention to related updates on the campaign webpage.
