The 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition is in full swing. In response to the event, Japan’s Shinyokuen and the Fashion & Media Design Institute of Shih Chien University have jointly created the large-scale botanical sculpture “Planting Blessings Flower Rabbit.” This work combines the spirit of traditional religion and modern art. It is located at the entrance plaza of the Lequn Pavilion, and the public is welcome to visit.

The “Planting Blessings Flower Rabbit” botanical sculpture is a collaborative work led by Professor Qu Jiarui, known as the “Spicy Female Professor,” along with students from Shih Chien University. It echoes the floral exposition’s message of environmental awareness and harmony with nature. To celebrate the arrival of the Lunar Year of the Rabbit in 2011, the design features a rabbit as its central theme and has been warmly welcomed by children.

The unveiling ceremony of the “Planting Blessings Flower Rabbit” also invited community members to participate in planting, setting an exemplary model for community greening. It symbolizes that after the fire of the goma ritual burns away people’s worries, the depths of the soul are purified, giving rise to radiant blooms. The artwork is located at the entrance plaza of the Lequn Pavilion at Shinyokuen (No. 310, Lequn 3rd Road, Taipei City).
