This December, the dazzling and stylish superstar Lady Gaga’s wax figure will make a glamorous debut at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and seven other Madame Tussauds locations around the world, officially joining the museum’s diamond-tier celebrity lineup. This will be the most spectacular global unveiling event in the history of Madame Tussauds, with each location revealing their uniquely styled Lady Gaga wax figure in different outfits and personas on the same day.

Madame Tussauds has carefully selected eight distinctly different looks of Lady Gaga and collaborated with her personal design team to create wax figures that are identical to the real star. Which version of Lady Gaga will be displayed at each location remains a mystery, so fans will have to wait until the day of the unveiling to find out which figure wears their favorite outfit.
All Lady Gaga wax figures were simultaneously produced at the Merlin Entertainments studio in London, UK. The process involves creating a clay model, then making a wax mold, followed by a professional team applying precise skin tones — paying attention to details such as freckles, moles, and dimples — before makeup artists, hairstylists, and fashion designers put the final touches on each figure. Each wax figure takes about four months to produce, with an investment of £150,000 per figure, totaling £1.2 million globally for all Lady Gaga wax figures. The Lady Gaga wax figures will be displayed at Madame Tussauds locations in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, New York, Hollywood, Las Vegas, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, and will be officially unveiled on December 9, 2010.
Madame Tussauds features many celebrity wax figures, and sports stars are no exception.
