Promote Taiwan tourism, starting with yourself！This year, the Tourism Bureau’s “Travel Taiwan. Touching 100” website launched three initiatives: New Experiences in Taiwan. 100 Heartwarming Stories, Dynamic 100 Dancing Across Taiwan, and the Top 100 Routes PK competition, encouraging the public to share the beauty of Taiwan through participation. Among them, the online selection event “New Experiences in Taiwan. 100 Heartwarming Stories” held its award ceremony today, selecting the top 10 blog posts and photo entries from numerous submissions. The first prize in the blog category was won by Lin Y..., with the winning work titled “A Healing Journey at the Foot of the Mountain.”

Additionally, to thank participants for engaging with the website activities, an annual grand prize of one year of free accommodation at a hotel under the Yunlan Tourism Group was offered. The lucky winner was Li Zhengxi from Taipei. Other winners received prizes including a one-month all-you-can-eat buffet at Fullon Hotels, electric scooters, and travel reward funds, with total prize value reaching up to NT$1.3 million. Several winners also shared the stories behind their works and their feelings upon receiving awards. Lin Y..., the first-place winner in the blog category, said that this blog post documented her university graduation trip with classmates. During the trip, she unexpectedly discovered the unique charm of rural Taiwan, leaving behind precious memories. The first-year winner of the annual grand prize said that this was her second time participating in the event. She never expected to win the grand prize and felt deeply moved that her passion could be recognized here. She plans to revisit last year’s and other destinations this year.

This submission campaign attracted many netizens to participate. In just four months, 542 blog posts and 839 photos were collected. The abundance of stunning images and touching words highlight the captivating landscapes and rich cultural heritage of Taiwan. These outstanding works also serve as valuable materials for introducing Taiwan to international travelers.
