“Popular Songs” is a music program on South Korea’s SBS TV station, and it’s a must-appear show for Korean singers when they release new songs. Because the waiting time backstage is long and idols barely have time to eat, canteen auntie Seo Mi-hye noticed this and created the “Popular Songs Sandwich.” Unexpectedly, it became hugely popular among the singers and turned into a must-eat TV station food before going on air.

And this “Popular Songs Sandwich,” which used to require a trip to Korea to get, has finally obtained official authorization and is now available in Taiwan. From March 7 to March 13, a one-week pop-up event will be held at B2 of Taipei’s Unified Times Department Store. Since the sandwiches are made fresh daily and cannot be mass-produced, only 1,500 are available each day, with a limit of four per person. If you want to try one, you’ll need to line up early!
