From December 1 to 31, Macau will host a grand shopping festival themed “One Day Shopping, One Day Play,” allowing visitors to experience the city’s unique charm and diverse culture. The “2013 Macau Shopping Festival” brings together thousands of shops, both large and small, offering discounts and special gifts. Visitors can explore flagship stores and indulge in luxurious shopping, or wander through streets and alleys to discover hidden gems and local specialties, experiencing Macau’s distinctive retail offerings. Even more excitingly, during the December shopping festival, Macau is also holding an “Entry Without Consumption, Instant Lottery Draw” event. Lottery booths are set up at four major entry points: the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, the Taipa Temporary Ferry Terminal in Coloane, Macau International Airport, and the Border Gate checkpoint. Visitors holding valid ferry tickets, flight tickets, or entry documents can participate in one free lottery draw, with a chance to win major prizes.
The total value of the lottery prizes exceeds 3 million Macanese Patacas (approximately 12 million New Taiwan Dollars), including tickets to “The House of Dancing Water” at Studio City, cash vouchers from DFS Galleria Macau, accommodation experiences at Galaxy Macau, ICBC Macau Shopping Festival UnionPay prepaid cards, and silver cash gifts. Other prizes include Macao Pass travel gifts, selected Portuguese wine gift boxes, unique Christmas shopping experiences, and elegant Portuguese-style paper shopping bags.

Additionally, December is also the Christmas season, and the festive atmosphere in Macau is particularly strong, further enhanced by its unique European flair that makes visitors feel as if they are in Europe. During this period, many bakeries and hotels offer traditional Portuguese-style Christmas cakes. Streets and alleys across the city are adorned with all kinds of festive lights, while churches of all sizes echo with joyful bell chimes and hymns, filling the air with Christmas spirit. Visiting Macau in December offers an unforgettable winter holiday and unprecedented shopping pleasure.
