In this season of blooming flowers, do you not only want to wander through the floral sea but also take these beautiful blossoms home? The High Ground Engineering Management Office of New Taipei City Government planted large areas of cosmos before the Lunar New Year at the “Sunshine Sports Park” and the “Happy Ripples Park.” The flowers are in full bloom, creating an overwhelmingly gorgeous sight. As the cosmos blooming period is nearing its end, in order to maximize public benefit and enhance the festive atmosphere among citizens, the High Ground Engineering Management Office of New Taipei City Government welcomes the public to bring their own planting tools starting today, dress up as gardeners, and visit the “Sunshine Sports Park” and “Happy Ripples Park” to personally select their favorite flowers and “pick them to take home.” This allows the lovely blooms to continue accompanying people and brings a unique ambiance to warm family homes.

It is expected that in early March, the High Ground Engineering Management Office of New Taipei City Government will re-till the park grounds. After mixing, these cosmos flowers will turn into green manure, becoming nutrient-rich spring soil that returns to the earth, injecting new energy for the next bloom and returning to the natural cycle. The New Taipei City Government reminds the public to be mindful of their own safety and that of other visitors when using sharp tools such as scissors. Additionally, since cosmos flowers grow densely, they may inevitably attract small animals or insects such as bees hiding within. The public should be cautious when picking flowers.
