With summer vacation approaching, to promote leisurely travel experiences in Qimei, the Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau has launched seven family-friendly cycling routes during the summer season. Led by professional guides, these tours offer stunning views of the Qimei area, featuring refreshing water activities, various hands-on DIY experiences, and even a professional-grade 100-kilometer long-distance route. Along the way, you can enjoy the rich local culture and landscapes of Qishan and Meinong while leisurely pedaling through the scenic countryside.

● Cool Off by the Irrigation Channels
Event Dates: July 12–18
Itinerary: Meet at Meinong Water Bridge → Meinong Water Bridge (bridge-crossing experience) → Yuanshuyuan Paper Umbrella Cultural Village (paper umbrella painting DIY) → Yuanshuyuan (meal + park tour) → Longshan Bridge → Shixue Water Diversion Outlet → Shishan Grand Irrigation Channel (cool off with water fun) → Zhuzaimen Power Plant → Yanlou Ceramics (ceramics DIY) → Yong’an Old Street → Return to Meinong Water Bridge.

● Explore the Countryside on a Leisurely Ride
Event Dates: July 25 – September 19
Itinerary: Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum → Cycle around Zhongzheng Lake → Guanglin Community – rural workshop (straw weaving) → Guanglin Community lunch & rest → Shuangxi Mother Tree Forest → Return to Meinong Hakka Cultural Museum.

Itinerary: Meet at Qishan Bus Transfer Station → Banana picking experience at Hope Banana Farm → Qishan Living Culture Park (banana story tour) → Lunch at the cultural park (Qishan cuisine) → Qishan Sugar Factory (visit + rest) → Qishan Landmark Bridge → Banana ice cream DIY at Qishan Branch Ice City → Explore Qishan Old Street (free time) → Return bike at Qishan Bus Transfer Station.

● Hakka Heritage & Water Fun Tour
Event Dates: August 22 – September 5
Itinerary: Meet at Guangshan Hall → Guangshan Hall (an important faith center in Meinong) → Pass through Niujiaowan → Meinong Ceramics (pottery DIY experience) → Meinong Folk Village (meal + park tour) → Play in the waters of Shizitou Irrigation Channel → Visit the Yi Min Temple (a historic site symbolizing the Qing Dynasty’s Hoklo-Hakka conflicts) → Return to Guangshan Hall.
