The eighth sports center in New Taipei City, the New Wutai Civic Sports Center, officially began a trial run from July 19 to August 1 and is set to open fully on August 5. This five-story building features comprehensive facilities including various sports equipment, a reading room, meeting rooms, and more. During the trial period, from 8 AM to 8 PM daily, the entire center is open to the public free of charge.

The internal facilities of the New Wutai Sports Center include: a heated indoor swimming pool, spa pool, and children’s pool on the first floor, along with a sauna, steam room, and concession area; the second floor houses a chess and reading room, children’s playroom, meeting rooms, and offices; the third floor features a multi-purpose court, billiards room, badminton court, fitness center, and spin studio; the fourth floor includes rhythm dance studios and table tennis rooms; while the fifth floor offers martial arts studios and squash courts. These facilities cater to users of all ages—children, youth, adults, and seniors—and provide functions such as community social events, leisure and wellness, physical training, and competitive sports. The center boasts a diverse sports space design integrating education, recreation, fitness, and mental stimulation.
