To welcome the Mid-Autumn holiday, from September 25 to 29, Taiwan Railways (TRA) will operate a total of 200 additional trains across all service levels. Tickets for the Mid-Autumn holiday period will go on sale starting at midnight on Friday, September 11, 2015; Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) will add 103 extra train services, offering a total of 775 services over the five-day holiday while maintaining its non-reserved seating and early bird discounts. Passengers planning to take the high-speed rail can start booking tickets at midnight on Saturday, August 29.

From September 25 to 29 (a total of 5 days), TRA will operate 200 additional trains across all service levels. This includes 77 Tzu-Chiang Limited Express services, 40 Chu-Kuang Express services, and 24 Fu-Hsing and Local trains (totaling 141 services) on the Eastern Line (including the South-Link Line); and 33 Tzu-Chiang Limited Express and 26 Chu-Kuang Express services (totaling 59 services) on the Western Line.
※ Tickets for the Mid-Autumn holiday period will be available for purchase online and via telephone starting at midnight on Friday, September 11, 2015 (Friday), and can be booked up to September 29.
● Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR)
From September 25 to 29 (a total of 5 days), THSR will add 103 extra train services (52 southbound and 51 northbound), offering a total of 775 services while maintaining its non-reserved seating and early bird discounts. Additionally, during the peak travel period, in addition to the existing “University Student Discount” available on applicable services, THSR has specially planned 8 extra 50% discounted “University Student Autumn Holiday Return Home Trains” during the busy travel times on September 25 and 29. A total of 262 services over the five days will be eligible for the “University Student Discount.”

During the Mid-Autumn travel period, THSR will also offer 461 services eligible for the “Early Bird Discount.” Passengers can enjoy early bird discounts of 65%, 80%, or 90% if they book their tickets between 5 and 28 days before their travel date.
※ Tickets for the Mid-Autumn holiday period can be purchased starting at midnight on August 29 through THSR partner convenience stores, online booking systems, the T Express mobile app, the voice reservation system, or at ticket counters and ticket vending machines at stations during operating hours. Passengers can book round-trip tickets for the entire Mid-Autumn travel period in one go.
