Emirates Airlines will increase capacity on its Dubai–St. Petersburg route in October and launch a new Dubai–Bologna route in November. Recently, Emirates Airlines was nominated for seven awards at the 2015 APEX Awards, including Best Passenger Experience, Best Middle Eastern Airline, Best Inflight Catering, and Best Inflight Entertainment System Interface.

Starting October 25, all six Emirates flights (EK175/176) from Dubai to St. Petersburg will be operated by Boeing B777-300ER aircraft, replacing the previous Airbus A330-200s. Additionally, a seventh weekly flight will be added starting December 1, offering daily service between Dubai and Russia. Emirates has been operating in the Russian market for 12 years and has carried 3.6 million passengers between Dubai, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.

Bologna, Italy, will become Emirates' fourth destination in Italy on November 3 this year, following Venice, Milan, and Rome. The airline will operate one daily flight between Dubai and Bologna using the Boeing B777-300ER. The new route will add 5,040 weekly seats on the Dubai–Bologna route, providing travelers in the Bologna region access to global destinations across the Far East, Middle East, Africa, and West Asia.

Passengers flying with Emirates can enjoy a selection of over 2,000 movies and TV channels, experience the ice inflight entertainment system, and savor a variety of meals, snacks, and beverages. Additionally, all Emirates passengers can accumulate frequent flyer miles and are entitled to checked baggage allowances of 30 kg for economy class, 40 kg for business class, and 50 kg for first class.
