The Daxue Mountain Forest Recreation Area sits at an altitude of between 1,800 and 2,900 meters and lies within a prevailing cloud and fog belt. The ink-wash painting-like sea of clouds is one of the area’s defining features. Especially at the 48K Pass Viewpoint, you can gaze upon undulating mountain ranges where a variety of breathtaking sights — the ever-changing sunrise, the majestic sea of clouds, and the splendid evening glow — can all be seen in one sweeping view.
