It’s located on Guangming Road right in front of Beitou MRT Station — just a 200-meter walk from the station. If you’re looking to soak in hot springs, it’s also not far from the Beitou Hot Spring area. Staying here lets you deeply experience the local charm of Beitou.

As a youth hostel, it places great emphasis on guest interaction. The basement lounge often hosts events, such as the previously held “Coffee Music Night,” where everyone enjoyed Ali Mountain coffee while singing and having fun together. There are also indigo dyeing experience activities, among others.

● FlipFlop Hostel (夹脚拖的家) Flip Flop Hostel

FlipFlop Hostel is located near Taipei Transfer Station (Taipei Main Station) and Taipei Railway Station. It’s a youth hostel renovated from a former Taiwan Railways employee dormitory. Though there’s no prominent sign outside, the building features exterior and interior murals created by local cross-disciplinary artist Andi Yang. The stairwells retain the original dormitory window frames and terrazzo stairs.

Next to the front desk, there are public computers, and the walls are covered with postcards left and sent by guests. Bring your own postcard, write down your thoughts, and you can get NT$30 off your accommodation fee. The hostel regularly hosts various interactive activities, such as Mid-Autumn Festival music gatherings, frequent traveler experience sharing sessions, and has even co-hosted film exhibitions. Please note that FlipFlop Hostel is housed in an older building without an elevator, so carrying heavy luggage up and down the stairs can be a bit challenging.
