“Takumi-no-Yu” is ranked as Miyagi Prefecture’s most popular hidden hot spring. Since 300 years ago, it has been known as “Unagi-yu” (Eel Hot Spring) due to its association with Japan’s eels. Although the hot spring here is strongly alkaline, it is rich in sodium bicarbonate sulfate with sulfur powder, giving it a skin-toning effect that helps improve eczema and beautify the skin—making it a top pick for women.
