Hong Kong Disneyland has launched a brand-new entertainment experience, “Star Wars™: Rise of the Resistance,” an exclusive global attraction that officially begins on June 11, allowing guests to experience the thrilling frontlines of the Star Wars universe. This series of Asia-exclusive experiences includes “Hyperspace Mountain,” “Star Wars: Command Post,” and “Jedi Temple Guardian Training,” as the epic battle between good and evil heats up this summer.

To celebrate the launch of “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance,” the park invited 60 Star Wars fans to a preview event, giving them first-hand access to the themed entertainment offerings. The excited fans couldn’t hide their enthusiasm as they prepared to become Rebel pilots or Jedi Knights, ready to take on the battle in the stars.

Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Development Director Craig Russell noted, “‘Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance’ is a unique new experience at Hong Kong Disneyland where guests can become Rebel pilots, heroes, or Jedi Knights, engaging in intense battle scenes from the Star Wars films.”

Dreaming of joining the Rebel Alliance? The “Hyperspace Mountain” experience recreates the high-speed thrill from the films. The park has specially installed life-sized X-wing starfighters, allowing guests to transform into courageous pilots, board reconnaissance ships, and complete missions while flying through iconic film locations such as the desert planet of Jakku, all while evading danger and investigating a suspicious Star Destroyer amidst fierce battle action.

Additionally, legendary warrior Chewbacca and droid R2-D2 will appear in the “Star Wars: Command Post,” while the dark forces of the First Order, led by Captain Phasma and a battalion of stormtroopers, will patrol “Tomorrowland” in search of Rebels—battle may erupt at any moment. Can you survive in the galaxy? “Jedi Temple Guardian Training” kicks off on June 25, recruiting young Jedi aged 4 to 12 who will don classic Jedi robes, undergo rigorous training, wield lightsabers against Darth Vader and the Inquisitors, and join forces to unleash the Force to defeat evil.

Beyond the rides, the park offers a variety of themed food and merchandise. Hong Kong Disneyland has introduced nearly 60 Star Wars-themed dining options, including “Star Wars Lightsaber Cotton Candy,” “Darth Vader Burger Meal,” “Star Wars Marshmallows,” and “BB-8 Slushie.” There are also over 230 collectible items, such as Tsum Tsum plush toys of Star Wars characters and robots. Guests can even select from more than 20 accessories to create their own personalized lightsaber.
