The long-awaited trip to Hualien finally arrived, so I booked my train tickets and decided to set off with just a light pack. This time, I wanted my chill getaway to be anything but ordinary—I was after not only stunning views but also a unique and memorable stay. Snow Cloud Castle was exactly that. From the moment you see it, you’re amazed. Not only does arriving in Hualien make you forget the fast pace of city life, but stepping into Snow Cloud Castle gives you the surreal feeling of having left Taiwan altogether. The breathtaking European-style castle scenery makes you feel like you’ve slipped through time and space. The romantic European vibe is so enchanting, you’ll just want to lose yourself in it.

Upon arriving at Snow Cloud Castle and getting ready to check in, the exterior made me feel as if I had truly left Taiwan and stepped completely out of my usual life. A sense of relaxation and joy washed over me without me even realizing it. A beautiful environment really does have that kind of magic—it instantly erases your worries, making you just want to rest and enjoy yourself here. The fairytale-like European atmosphere has completely won me over.

Stepping into my room—Room No. 6 ‘Alyssa’—I was greeted by a serene and comforting sight the moment I opened the door. The room features beautiful curtains and wallpaper, with tables, chairs, and lamps all positioned just right. The elegant light-colored decor, dark wooden floors, and bright windows create the perfect setting for spending the whole day reading or just daydreaming in bed. The calm, understated, yet soft and cozy vibe made me fall in love with the room instantly. I feel so lucky to be staying here for this little Hualien trip.

Snow Cloud Castle isn’t just a place to lay your head for the night. The castle is filled with exquisite European-style design elements and decor. If you’re into photography, you’ll find endless spots to capture amazing shots. Every corner of Snow Cloud Castle looks like a beautiful painting. After asking the staff, I learned that every piece of furniture here has a history. From the moment you step into the lobby, you can’t help but gasp in awe—it feels like visiting an elegant European heritage site. Each item is a vintage treasure, carefully collected over the years by the castle’s owners, the Tsai family. Every single piece is a priceless gem.
