Launched in 2002, the Color Ink Art Festival has moved to the Port of Taichung Art Center for the first time this year. This edition centers around the theme of "fish" and integrates an international exhibition of color ink fish art, land art installations, interactive tech installations, and extends with a series of related events, showcasing the diverse forms and colorful artistry of fish. The highlight of this year invites outstanding artworks from home and abroad, with 167 artists from 31 countries contributing 205 pieces. Artists from various countries creatively depict various forms of fish on canvas, with exhibits featuring diverse styles, full of imagination and creativity.

The trend of TAIWAN COLOR INK ART (TSAI-MO ART) emerged in the 1990s. Starting in 1996, international color ink exhibitions were held in Taiwan, the United States, Canada, El Salvador, Malaysia, France, Poland, Spain, Mexico, and other countries, receiving high praise from both domestic and international art circles. The 15th Taichung Ink Art Festival innovatively incorporated landscape installation art, inviting artist Lai Guan-zhong to center his theme around fish. Drawing inspiration from daily life and nature, he conveyed the beauty and emotional resonance that nature brings through his creations. The works feature angular surface cuts, and at night, light projections on each facet reveal different colors, while also reminding viewers of the importance of environmental awareness and protection.

To allow a deeper understanding of ink art, the event also includes hands-on DIY ink art experiences and a series of dynamic and static activities such as the Ink Art Culture Shuttle Bus, aiming to promote art appreciation and align with international artistic trends.
