The Huatung Valley area boasts abundant and spectacular scenery, and even a three-day trip may not be enough to explore all its hidden gems—this is also the most charming feature of Eastern Taiwan. Located in Tiefen Tribe on Provincial Highway 193 in Yuli District, Hualien, there is a majestic waterfall hidden gem—the Tiefen Waterfall. Since few people visit this spot, it gives off the vibe of a secluded paradise. The water of Tiefen Waterfall mainly comes from the western side of the Coastal Mountain Range. With a drop of about 26 meters, the cool water cascades down the towering cliffs, resembling silver ribbons, splashing up showers of droplets amid a hazy mist. By the summer solstice, it becomes a top choice for locals seeking to escape the heat.
