Taiwan’s pride and world bread champion Chef Wu Pao-chun creates deeply moving and delicious bread using local Taiwanese ingredients. Recently, not to be outshined by Japan’s cheese tarts, he and his team have launched a brand-new “TAKE SMILE Smile Tower.” Carefully selected Hokkaido naturally grazed butter cheese is combined with locally sourced small-farm fresh milk with a natural milky aroma, and high-grade AA-quality Taiwanese eggs, creating a rich yet not overly sweet cheese filling. This is encased in layers of crispy tart pastry, shaped through freezing, brushed with egg wash, and then baked. The final product has a golden, crispy exterior and is filled with a semi-soft, delicate cheese filling—each bite bursts with rich texture and aroma.

The “TAKE SMILE Smile Tower” went on sale on March 30 at the Wu Pao Chun Maison branches in Eslite Songyan and the Kaohsiung flagship store. This cheese tower has a light texture that's easy on the palate, offering a distinctive take on the traditional cheese tart, representing a uniquely Taiwanese flavor.
