Taiwan’s Version of Meguro River Flower Avenue: A Dreamy White Chinaberry Blossom Spectacle

March and April are the peak blooming seasons for chinaberry trees. When in bloom, they emit a fragrant aroma, making them excellent ornamental and roadside trees, as well as suitable for afforestation along coastal areas. Aside from the longest chinaberry blossom tunnel in Taiwan, located along the embankment road of the Puzi River in Liujiao Township, Chiayi, the Longyang Bridge between Huanshui Road and Section 3 of Huanzhong Road in Taichung City also boasts a vibrant display of blooming chinaberry flowers. The white chinaberry blossoms along Longyang Bridge are neatly and luxuriantly planted on both sides of the stream, draping the dense green tree-lined avenue with a delicate layer of snow-like petals—reminiscent of Tokyo’s famous cherry blossom spot, Meguro River—but in a stunning white chinaberry version that is truly a feast for the eyes.
