Aside from the New Year’s Eve fireworks, Sydney’s annual must-see Australian light art exhibition, Vivid Sydney, takes place over 23 days from May 26 to June 17. In addition to projections on the Sydney Opera House — Australia’s most iconic landmark — other famous structures such as the Harbour Bridge will also host spectacular light shows. Paired with music and audiovisual projections, the entire city transforms into a canvas of light, dazzling, romantic, and brimming with creative beauty that leaves visitors in awe and thoroughly entertained.
The Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge are both gloriously transformed, while the General Post Office in Martin Place is also illuminated with vibrant light projections. The whole city becomes dreamy, dynamic, and full of creative charm. Almost all of Sydney’s key heritage sites and attractions become nighttime canvases for light shows, attracting people of all ages to interact with the sound and light installations and take plenty of photos.
