Vast golden rice fields, set against blue skies and white clouds, create a healing view that lifts the spirits. The stunning scenery captured through the lens brings an immense sense of accomplishment. Most rice paddies in Taiwan are part of the second cropping season, typically from August to January of the following year. About a month before harvest, you can see lush green fields, which then transform into golden waves of rice after the ears form. Beyond the iconic rice fields of Hualien and Taitung, we’ve carefully selected six breathtaking spots across northern, central, and southern Taiwan where you can witness these magnificent golden rice waves. Visitors should plan their trip before the harvest season begins.
