The “2016 Taiwan Hot Air Balloon Festival” will kick off on July 1. To coincide with the event, the organizers are also offering free shuttle bus services from July 1 to August 7. As long as you depart from Taitung Transfer Station, the Taiwan Railway’s Taitung Station, or the Luye Train Station in the morning or afternoon, you can take the shuttle bus to Luye Gaotai.

In conjunction with the 2nd Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival’s opening light and music concert event, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., those who wish to attend the light and music concert can choose to take the Dingdong Bus to the Guangrong Station or take the Taiwan Railways to Luye Train Station. A free shuttle bus will be provided every 10 minutes to the event venue. After the event concludes, additional shuttle buses to downtown Taitung (train station, Taitung Transfer Station) will be added as needed, so there’s no need to worry about getting back to downtown Taitung.
