The stage activities at 3:30 PM will kick off with performances by the SoHa Band, winners of the 2016 Taoyuan Iron Rose Music Award – Popular Vote. The Taipei Municipal University Cheerleading Team will also bring energetic and passionate support performances for the Universiade. This time, the organizers have formed a “Sports Sweethearts Cheer Squad” with popular sports girls – Nini, Duanjin, Ling Xiaolu, Xiaoyan, Ququ, and Yangyang – who have specially choreographed dances to cheer for the Universiade athletes, allowing fans to feel the vibrant and youthful support. In addition to the meet-and-greet, fans can also go on stage to interact closely with the Sports Sweethearts Cheer Squad—normally seen only from afar—and team up to play games. Aside from the afternoon sports fun gathering, the evening will feature performances by idol singer Chen Yanyun, powerhouse vocalist Lin Xinyi, Ultimate Class leading lady Zeng Peici, and multi-talented singer Li Qianna, all joining the public to watch the Universiade opening ceremony broadcast. The broadcast hosts will be Wu Zun—who is also a former athlete—along with sports enthusiasts Huang Muyan and Yang Fuda.
