The Central Weather Bureau has issued a special report for a tropical depression. This tropical depression with pressure at 1004 hPa, at 08:00 on August 20, its center was located at 19.5°N, 129°E, approximately 880 kilometers southeast of Eluanbi, moving westward at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour, and shows signs of developing into a mild typhoon. A maritime warning could be issued as early as the late night of the 20th.

On August 21, the Bashi Channel and the southeastern sea areas of Taiwan will experience rough seas and strong winds; ships navigating or operating in the area should exercise caution and pay attention to maritime safety; strong gusts of wind reaching force 8 to 9 are expected along the southeastern and southern coasts of Taiwan, and the latest developments regarding this tropical depression should continue to be monitored.

Influenced by the peripheral circulation of the tropical depression or typhoon, on Monday, August 21, the whole of Taiwan will be cloudy with overcast skies, with a chance of rain in many areas including the north, northeast, and south; carry rain gear when going out.
