Taiwan’s Only Floating Library – A Waterfront Hotspot for Culture-Loving Photographers

Kaohsiung’s Jinshi Lake Library is built on Jinshi Lake, offering beautiful lake views during the day and sparkling neon lights at night.

The library is located on the eastern side of Jinshi Lake. Its two-story light green building stands out as it perches above the water like a stilt house, complementing the majestic Fudingjin Bao’an Temple nearby.

Jinshi Lake is one of the water storage ponds located at the upper source of Kaohsiung’s Love River. Surrounded by Lion Head Mountain Park, the Butterfly Ecological Museum, the Daodeyuan, and the Bao’an Temple, the area features dense greenery and picturesque lake views during the day. At night, a shimmering light bridge adds to the ambiance, making it a great family-friendly destination for sightseeing and enjoying nature.
