The ten romantic spots include Cat Alley in Jiaxian, adorned with lively cat murals and colorful umbrellas; Yong’an Xingang Diamond Beach, crafted by local fishermen using creative, locally sourced materials; Yong’an Salt Field Painted Village, combining rustic red-brick architecture with vibrant art; A Hidden Dream in Shoushan’s ecological sanctuary; Guishan and Chunchiou Pavilions in Zuoying, offering picturesque mountain and water views; Qijin’s tropical-style beach bar; Kaohsiung Zoo; “Box KUBIC,” a rainbow container complex; 3D-painted Mituo Fishing Port; and the Qiaotou Sugar Refinery Arts Village. Director Tseng emphasized that each spot is uniquely charming and sure to help couples deepen their bond. He invites lovers to take a mini-trip to Kaohsiung—enjoy street food at night markets, admire the night view from the high-rise bar at Hotel Indigo in Central Park, and cruise the city’s beauty via the light rail for an unforgettable Valentine’s Day.

In conjunction with Valentine’s Day, many attractions and shops in Kaohsiung are offering special deals. From August 28 (Valentine’s Day) through September 3, couples showing any photo taken at one of the ten romantic spots will enjoy a 50% discount on Kaohsiung Zoo tickets, 20% off gondola rides, two free “Fun Cards” when staying at WEN PIN Hotel, buy-one-get-one-free tickets to the Air Force Aviation Education Exhibition Hall, and mystery gifts with purchases at Fuhwa Grand Hotel. Additionally, popular dessert shops participating in the “Kaohsiung Sweet Meet Summer” campaign—including Boboli Confections, Sensei’s Mille Crêpes, Little Ants Handmade Bakery, Soft Cloud Workshop, and EZ Chocolate—will offer limited-edition Valentine’s treats and exclusive discounts, letting couples enjoy both sweet moments and delicious food in Kaohsiung.
Kaohsiung Zoo will host a “Hug Forever, Like Apes” Valentine’s event on the morning of August 27. Couples wearing matching outfits (same pattern or color scheme) can enter for free, and the zoo has also prepared exciting activities to make the day extra special.
The “Kaohsiung Sweet Meet Summer” dessert guide, which sold out quickly and had multiple reprints upon release, features four light travel routes: Sea Sweet Star Stroll Plan, Sizihwan Foodie Adventure, Meinong Deep Culture Tour, and Oyster Liao Nostalgia Trip. Visitors are encouraged to head to Kaohsiung to catch the tail end of summer.
