Located in Keelung, Zhongshan Overpass—with its nostalgic, retro ambiance and illuminated corridor scenery—has served as a filming location for many well-known movies, including Hou Hsiao-hsien’s “Millennium Mambo” starring Golden Horse Award-winning actress Shu Qi, and a Korean film starring a Korean acting award winner. The Keelung City Government recently held an information session on the reconstruction of Zhongshan Bridge and decided to demolish Zhongshan Overpass. Netizens who haven’t taken photos or checked in yet should seize the last chance.

Connecting Zhong'er Road and An'yi Road, Zhongshan Overpass is located next to Keelung’s old train station and was once a necessary passage for night commuters. In 2013, there was a collapse accident on the overpass, which was later repaired with the old and new sections connected together. Since you can walk down the stairs from the An'yi Road intersection and reach the South Station of the train station, the pedestrian overpass will be demolished around Lunar New Year.
