As autumn and winter arrive, it’s the perfect time for autumn foliage viewing and skiing. Travelers currently planning a trip to Japan have some good news: with the U.S. dollar continuously rising against the Japanese Yen, the Yen has been declining since early September. The Yen-to-New Taiwan Dollar exchange rate is also approaching a three-month low. Travelers can take advantage of this timing to exchange their Yen sooner rather than later.

Since September 8, the Japanese Yen has been on a downward trend, with the buying rate dropping to 0.2592 and the selling rate at 0.2701 (as of the October 19 exchange rate), even falling further to 0.2691 (October 20 exchange rate)—the lowest in nearly three months. The previous low was on July 11, when the selling rate was 0.2702. For example, exchanging 50,000 New Taiwan Dollars: on September 8, with an exchange rate of 0.281, you could only get about 177,900 Yen, but now you can get around 185,800 Yen—saving nearly 8,000 Yen, which is roughly the cost of one Tokyo Disneyland ticket.
