Convenience store point campaigns keep getting more creative—not only competing in cuteness but also in kuso (quirky humor) appeal. The quality of redemption prizes is now on par with Japan’s, attracting many overseas tourists to join in. Convenience stores have once again teamed up with Sanrio’s Gudetama for a point campaign themed around Taiwanese cuisine, with items like bubble tea, ham and egg toast, grilled sausages, mochi pancakes, and beef noodle soup inspiring the small gifts.

The ham and egg toast vibration doll is especially hilarious and therapeutic, while large bean bags and bubble tea neck pillow blankets are great for relaxing at home in winter or adding a cozy vibe to the office.

In response to the annual strawberry season in January, convenience stores are also launching a colorful Strawberry Season promotion, offering a “buy one, get the second at half price” deal on selected items. With 80 snacks and refrigerated desserts, the campaign brings seasonal flair and more strawberry-themed choices for customers.
