As the cold winter arrives, snow-white plum blossoms also begin to bloom. The mountain forests seem blanketed in white, and when the petals fall, they resemble snowflakes—truly romantic. Below is a list of ten plum blossom viewing spots across Taiwan, including the well-known Nantou Xinyi Township and other hidden flower-viewing gems. 1. New Taipei – Zhonghe Hōnglúdì (Oven Hill)
Located in Zhonghe District, New Taipei, the Nanshan Fude Temple (Hōnglúdì) is one of the best spots in northern Taiwan for plum blossom viewing. When the plum blossoms are in full bloom, the temple appears as if covered in snow, creating a very atmospheric scene. Additionally, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city lights here, and with the giant statue of the Earth God, it’s a must-visit photography spot for many enthusiasts.

2. Taoyuan – Jiabanshan
The Jiabanshan Guesthouse Park in Taoyuan spans approximately 3 hectares and is home to over 200 plum trees, making it one of the largest plum gardens in northern Taiwan. During the peak blooming season, the Taoyuan City Tourism Bureau also holds a series of plum blossom events in the Jiabanshan Guesthouse Park, allowing visitors to not only admire the beautiful floral scenery but also enjoy a fun and pleasant experience.

3. Hsinchu – Sheipa Leisure Farm
Sheipa Leisure Farm features elegant fragrant weeping plum trees. Their drooping branches make the entire plum tree look like a large umbrella, which is a highlight feature for plum blossom viewing here.

4. Miaoli – Húxū Plum Garden
Miaoli’s Húxū Plum Garden is a local hidden gem for plum blossom viewing. Many photography enthusiasts love coming here to enjoy the flowers and take pictures. From December each year to March of the following year, plum blossoms bloom successively, creating a magnificent sight. Among them, there are also several century-old ancient plum trees and precious golden-thread weeping plum trees developed over the years.
