Cherry blossoms you can’t see anywhere else — a spectacular explosion of over 10,000 blooms

Located at the border between Huan-Yuan Township in Changhua County and Wuri District in Taichung City, the Huan-Yuan Flower Leisure Park became an overnight sensation a few years ago thanks to its rare weeping cherry trees, quickly establishing itself as a top cherry blossom destination in central Taiwan.

The expansive 5-hectare cherry blossom garden features a 150-meter-long tunnel adorned with various cherry blossom varieties including Somei Yoshino, weeping cherry, purple cherry, and Kawazu-zakura. The blossoms display a rich gradient of colors, creating an incredibly vibrant spectacle. The park even allows free entry, fueling a booming cherry blossom tourism craze.

With cherry blossoms gradually blooming and reaching full bloom, visitors should seize the opportunity to witness these rare and stunning floral displays without needing to travel all the way to Japan — they can be seen right here by the Wu River. Additionally, the park hosts night cherry blossom viewing events, where the 150-meter tunnel takes on a dreamy ambiance under LED lighting. There are also food stalls, cherry tree planting activities, and weekend street performances.
