This slightly more off-the-beaten-path one-day trip along Beidong Highway takes you along the scenic route, starting with the Daxi Love Story Museum to experience its lavish European-style decor, then heading to Houci Lake to admire the vacation scenery once enjoyed by former President Chiang Kai-shek and his wife, followed by a visit to the Kikuhopa Old Church, known as one of Taiwan’s top 100 religious sites. Next, you’ll explore the naturally marvelous Sanmin Bat Cave, and finally wrap up with a gathering or stay at the Green Light Forest.
