Hualien boasts stunning natural landscapes, with vast seas in front, rolling mountains behind, and numerous wetland scenes in between, making it easy to capture breathtaking photos that look like oil paintings.

1. Yunshan Water
Yunshan Water in Hualien is one of the well-known hidden gems, featuring a dreamy lake that resembles a fairyland, giving visitors the illusion of being in Europe. Covering an area of about 24 hectares, including 4 hectares of lake surface, it is planted with around 26 species of palms, broad-leaved forests, seasonal flowering plants, and grasslands. 2. Lasuai Spring
Located in Guangfu Township, Hualien, Lasuai Spring was voted the most beautiful hidden gem in 2016. This fairy-tale-like natural wonder features springs interacting with wild streams, creating a serene and unspoiled landscape free from artificial or concrete alterations. The indigo-blue First Spring, known as the "Blue Tears," shaped like a heart, is famed for its stunning water color, often described by visitors as a hue only God could create.

3. Qixingtan Beach
Nicknamed the Crescent Bay, Qixingtan is a famous coastal attraction in Hualien. Besides its captivating crescent-shaped bay, visitors can enjoy the feeling of waves crashing over pebbles, and at the end of the bay, the towering Central Mountain Range creates a breathtaking mountain-and-sea encounter that enchants many.

4. Sibagao Highland
Named after its elevation of 48 meters, Sibagao Highland is a hidden gem in downtown Hualien. With a 180-degree panoramic view, it not only offers a sweeping sight of the vast Pacific Ocean but also overlooks the beauty of Qixingtan’s crescent bay.
