Jili Pond

Jili Pond was once an undeveloped hidden gem tucked away for 20 years. After renovation by the township office and the Water Resources Bureau of the Council of Agriculture, it now features well-manicured lawns and stone wells, with scenic spots like the Moon-Reflecting Arch Bridge and Penglai Fairy Island. It has shed its former mystery to become a new recreational spot in Hualien.

Kehcheng Railway Bridge

Kehcheng Railway Bridge is one of the favorite spots for railway enthusiasts. Flanked by paddies growing Yuli rice, the scenery changes with the seasons. When a train passes by, set against blue skies and white clouds, it creates an unforgettable sight.

Zuocang Trail

Located on the eastern foothills of Shapoyan Mountain, at elevations ranging from 70 to 495 meters and close to the western outskirts of Hualien City, the 4-kilometer Zuocang Trail features four observation decks. These allow visitors to enjoy the magnificent scenery of Hualien from varying heights and angles, making it a great destination for family hiking and outdoor fun.

Baxi Viewpoint

Situated at the 31.5 km mark on Provincial Highway 11, Baxi Viewpoint is a rare high point along the coastal highway. From here, looking south, you can see the Jishih Bay, Guhou Cape, and Xinshe Sea Cliff—a uniquely layered and dramatic coastal landscape.
