Celebrating the Opening of Kaohsiung Light Rail: Holiday Harbor Cruises from Sinyi Pier for Just NT$100!

To celebrate the official opening of the first light rail transit line in Kaohsiung, from C1 to C8 stations,holiday harbor cruises will be launched at Sinyi Pier starting July 9. Originally priced at NT$300, special promotion prices during the light rail celebration offer cruises for just NT$100, allowing travelers to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kaohsiung Harbor by riding the light rail and then taking the harbor cruise.

Starting July 9 on holidays and national holidays, the harbor cruise departs from Sinyi Pier (Light Rail Transit C8 Kaohsiung Exhibition Center Station) at 3:30 PM. The full fare is originally NT$300, but the promotional price is only NT$100.

The “Sinyi Pier Holiday Harbor Fun Cruise” passes by attractions such as Asia New Bay Area, Banana Pier, First Port, Navy Ship Repair Yard, Yangming Marine Exploration Museum, Cijin Fishing Port, and the First Container Center. The approximately 50-minute cruise features onboard guided commentary. Tickets are sold on-site, with full-price tickets at NT$300 and discounted tickets at NT$200. During the celebration of the Kaohsiung Light Rail Transit opening, all tickets are available at the special price of NT$100. This allows travelers to explore a different side of Kaohsiung using a combination of light rail and harbor cruise transportation, taking in the stunning views of the harbor.

On July 4, new light rail transit stations C5 Dream Mall Station to C8 Kaohsiung Exhibition Center Station officially opened. The light rail route passes by Dream Mall, MLD Living Mall, China Steel Group Clubhouse, Kaohsiung Municipal Public Library, Kaohsiung Software Technology Park, Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, and Sinyi Pier, primarily running through the Asia New Bay Area.
