To celebrate its inaugural flight, STARFLYER held a special inauguration ceremony at Taoyuan Airport. Taoyuan Airport also held a water salute to welcome the arrival of STARFLYER’s first flight.
During the inauguration ceremony, STARFLYER also held a public lottery, giving out prizes to lucky inaugural passengers. Additionally, STARFLYER prepared exquisite commemorative gifts for all inaugural passengers. Inside the tote canvas gift bag, besides a cute 1:500 scale airplane model, passengers also received an aircraft seatbelt bag featuring the STARFLYER logo and a traditional Japanese furoshiki wrapping cloth that is all the rage in Japan.

STARFLYER has introduced three major fare types: “STAR UNIVERSE” is available for purchase on the day of departure and allows free changes to bookings, but ticket refunds incur a fee (10% before departure, 30% after departure). “STAR PLANET” can be purchased up to three days before departure, offering discounted fares even for last-minute plans, though changes are not allowed and refunds incur a fee (30% before departure, 50% after departure). As for “STAR COMET,” it is a super-value discounted fare type available for purchase up to seven days before departure. Booking early allows you to enjoy more competitive prices, but no changes or refunds are permitted.
Mr. Kenji Ishiyama, Branch Manager of STARFLYER Taipei Office, and Mr. Motoaki Nakasugi, Director of the Economic Section at the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association Taipei Office (a public interest incorporated foundation), along with other distinguished guests from Taiwan and Japan, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and delivered speeches.
Currently, STARFLYER operates flights to Kitakyushu 0??. There are also other domestic routes. As for international routes, including those to Bangkok, Seoul, Shanghai, and Beijing, there are 32 round trips per day across these six routes, totaling 64 flights. Starting October 28, two additional international routes—Kitakyushu–Taipei and Nagoya–Taipei—will be added, with one round trip per day for each route.
