Typhoon Yutu, the 26th of the season, has weakened to a mild typhoon. After turning northward, it will continue to weaken into a tropical depression, reducing its impact on Taiwan. However, its outer circulation still brings rainfall. Classes and work in Lanyu, Taitung County, have been suspended on November 1.

Over the next two days, influenced by the northeastern monsoon as well as the outer circulation of the typhoon or tropical depression, the northern and northeastern parts of Taiwan will experience cooler weather, while temperatures will also be relatively low in the morning and evening in other regions. Showers are expected in northern Taiwan, the eastern half of the island, and Penghu, with a chance of localized heavy or torrential rain. Tomorrow, there is a chance of localized torrential or extremely torrential rain in the northeastern region. Please carry rain gear when going out.
The weekend weather forecast also predicts mostly rainy conditions, but it will clear up on Sunday. Close monitoring is still advised.
