Not just the Symphony of Lights on Victoria Harbour – don’t miss the dazzling highlights of the Sparkling Harbour Light Festival

Entering 2019, Hong Kong’s New Year’s Eve countdown lit up the night sky over Victoria Harbour with spectacular fireworks, blending with powerful music to create an audiovisual extravaganza. From November 29 to February 24, 2019, the Hong Kong Tourism Board held the “Sparkling Harbour Light Festival,” using a variety of dazzling light events to make both sides of Victoria Harbour and the skyline even more brilliant.

The inaugural “Sparkling Harbour Light Festival” features a rich and exciting program, including the largest-ever “International Light Art Exhibition” ever held in Hong Kong, and an enhanced version of the “Symphony of Lights” show with more buildings participating and special effects added.

The “International Light Art Exhibition” brings together 14 light art pieces designed by international artists from countries and regions including Belgium, France, Hungary, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, and the United States — many of which have been showcased at other renowned light festivals — along with 4 works created by local artists, transforming the Central Harbourfront into an interactive light art playground.
