Ippudo’s official website launched a call for taste testers, recruiting 50 participants from the Ippudo Shinjuku West official Facebook page. From December 20, 2018 to January 15, 2019, those who shared a specified post on the Ippudo Shinjuku West official fan page had the chance to be taste testers for the “100% Pork-Free Ippudo Ramen.”
The highly mysterious new product was kept under wraps to build anticipation.
On the official Facebook page, a foggy image teased the newly developed item. The ramen, made with chicken broth and chicken instead of tonkotsu and pork, has sparked curiosity among many customers. It has also generated excitement among those who avoid pork, as they look forward to a pork-free alternative. The Ippudo Shinjuku West store is scheduled to open in spring 2019.
