Hong Kong Disneyland has announced its latest Marvel-themed attraction "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle!" opening on March 31, 2019.
At "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle!", guests will enter a brand-new high-tech interactive mission developed exclusively for Hong Kong Disneyland (Photo / Hong Kong Disneyland, same below)
This is the world's first Marvel attraction themed around Ant-Man and The Wasp, and also the first to feature a female superhero as the main character. "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle!" is the second Marvel-themed experience at Hong Kong Disneyland, further solidifying its position as the Marvel Super Heroes Universe hub in Asia.

Since its opening in 2017, the world’s first Marvel-themed attraction in any Disney park, "Iron Man Experience", has remained one of the park’s most popular rides. "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle!" now extends this thrilling adventure. In this new experience, guests are tasked with responding to Iron Man’s call to action alongside Ant-Man and The Wasp to help defend Hong Kong from a new wave of attacks by the evil organization Hydra.
This intense and high-tech interactive adventure begins when guests visit the newly established S.H.I.E.L.D. Tech Expo in the "Stark Expo" area of Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland. What should have been a routine visit is abruptly interrupted by a dual-pronged attack by Hydra in Hong Kong, sparking a series of epic battles. The villainous Hydra not only launches a surprise assault on the Stark Tower in Hong Kong to steal an Arc Reactor, but also sends thousands of robotic insect drones to invade the S.H.I.E.L.D. Tech Expo under the orders of Arnim Zola, aiming to pilfer a highly classified data core.
Alongside the popular "Iron Man Experience", "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle!" further elevates the immersive superhero experience.
As Iron Man battles Hydra robots in the streets of Kowloon, he decides to call in Ant-Man and The Wasp to defend the S.H.I.E.L.D. Tech Expo — because only they can shrink down and infiltrate the robotic insects’ armor to destroy them from within. Facing thousands of mechanical bugs, Ant-Man and The Wasp need backup. Guests inside the S.H.I.E.L.D. Tech Expo are immediately recruited to join the mission. They board S.H.I.E.L.D.’s latest "Strike" vehicles, equipped with electromagnetic pulse guns, and engage in a heroic battle alongside Ant-Man and The Wasp to protect the data core and defeat the robot swarm.
Walt Disney Imagineering and Marvel Studios have worked closely together to transform thrilling movie scenes into the immersive combat experience of "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle!"
Marvel stories have captivated global audiences and fans. Four of the top ten highest-grossing films worldwide in 2018 were Marvel movies. The Ant-Man series film "Ant-Man and The Wasp" was the box office champion in several Asia-Pacific markets upon its premiere.
Created through Disney’s classic storytelling approach in collaboration with Marvel Studios, "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle!" offers guests an immersive Marvel experience that makes them feel like they’re part of the movie. "Ant-Man and The Wasp" director Peyton Reed and the film production team specially filmed new footage for this attraction, featuring Hollywood stars Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprising their roles as Ant-Man and The Wasp. Composer Christophe Beck, who scored the films, has also created an original soundtrack exclusively for this attraction. Additionally, the experience showcases 14 props and reference items featured in over 10 Marvel films, TV shows, and comics — some of which are exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland.
Following its opening on March 31, 2019, "Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle!" will launch approximately 40 exclusive merchandise items and multiple themed food offerings.
