Hiroshi Hisafumi, from Kyushu, often heads out in the evening with toys in hand to play with stray cats on the street, using his camera to freeze their mid-air leaps that resemble martial arts moves. Through his “cat boxing” photos, you can see the cats’ eyes gleaming with intensity as they swing their tiny fists toward the camera — a stark contrast to their usual haughty demeanor.
Viewed from different angles, the cats appear to be dancing on their hind legs, looking especially endearing and amusing. It’s no wonder many cat lovers are eager to imitate this unique style of photography — but always keep the safety of the cats in mind.
