So, what do you need to prepare when traveling with a child? Pre-travel preparations:
1.
Itinerary-related: For domestic trips, plan your destination, check the local temperature, weather, and general sights you want to visit. Book hotels or guesthouses in advance for popular spots. For international travel, apply for your passport and visa at least two months ahead, and book your flights. Children under 2 years old can fly domestically at 10% of the adult fare, while those over 2 can book discounted tickets like adults. 2. Luggage & Essentials: Breastfeeding: Bottles, baby spoons and bowls, fruits, rice cereal, sippy cups, wet wipes, tissues, diapers, bibs, feeding clothes. Pack baby clothes according to the weather and length of the trip. In summer, bring mosquito repellent and anti-itch lotion. Common medications: thermometer, fever patches, fever-reducing medicine, allergy meds, etc. If you have space in your luggage, consider bringing a small handwashing detergent and a hairdryer. For formula-fed or mixed-fed babies, don’t forget the formula and bottles.
During the trip: Whether flying or taking the train, arrive early. And remember—no matter where you go, always keep your little one with you when collecting tickets, etc. If driving, make sure your baby is securely seated in a car seat.
If flying, to protect your baby’s eardrums, give them a sip from a cup during takeoff, or have them chew something like raisins or beef jerky to keep swallowing.
Once you reach your destination, it’s time for all the photo ops—start sharing views, food, and your cute little one, like these:
On the journey to tasty food and while enjoying the food
All kinds of photos, beautiful scenery, good mood, all kinds of beauty~
All the cool poses of the adorable kids in the hotel~
You’ll also encounter all sorts of things during the trip—people, both nice and not so nice, happy and unpleasant moments. Always face everything on the trip with a positive and optimistic attitude.
Most importantly: If the baby’s happy, even if mom is dog-tired, she’ll still be perfectly content~
My little one once met a Japanese friend in Taiwan and ended up chatting with them for over an hour~ Oh, never underestimate a child’s conversational skills~
