The wooden boardwalk on the northern side of the Beimen Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area has now been completed. Like a waterborne forest corridor, this boardwalk reemerges in a brand-new form, showcasing the beauty of nature.

The Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area is located between the Bazhang River and the Jishui River, on the northern edge of Tainan’s coastline. Along the boardwalks within the park, mangrove species such as red mangrove, kandelia candel, lumnitzera racemosa, and sonneratia caseolaris thrive, offering rich natural wetland landscapes and ecology—making it a highly attractive ecotourism resource in the area.
One of the most enchanting features along the trail is the Beimen version of the Forest of Serenity, where the interplay of light, shadows of fallen trees, and reflections on the water’s surface create a breathtaking view. This spot often attracts couples to take wedding photos, preserving beautiful and romantic memories.

The recent renovation of the wooden boardwalk has completed a full 750-meter system (approximately 375 meters on each side) on the northern side, including rest pavilions. The project was finished just in time before the New Year holiday travel rush, allowing visitors to plan a relaxing itinerary and spend a night here to enjoy the tranquil beauty of Shuangchun. During the Lunar New Year holiday period from February 2nd to 11th, campers staying in the Starlight Tents will also receive a small, beautifully crafted gift.
Rest pavilion
The Shuangchun Coastal Recreation Area is close to nearby attractions such as the Nanxiang Daitian Temple, Beimen Visitor Center, Crystal Chapel, Qianlaiye Shop, and Jingzijiao Salt Fields, making it a great destination for Lunar New Year outings.
