Previously, a production company collaborated with an aviation organization to film various locations across Japan in 8K, creating a 2.5-minute short film that allows the public to appreciate the country’s stunning scenery from a unique angle.
The Akita Prefecture-based production company Armadas partnered with Nakanihon Air Service to capture captivating sites around Japan, including aerial views of iconic Mount Fuji, Hakodate Goryokaku Park, and the capital Tokyo. They also ventured into Yakushima in Kyushu, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, and the Tezutsu Fireworks Festival in Toyokawa City. All were shot in 8K, delivering an awe-inspiring visual experience.

Originally a military fortress built in the 19th century, the park features a unique star-shaped layout. The photographer captured the scene in spring, with cherry blossoms drifting through the air.
Next is Yakushima, where the central Mount Miyanoura and the ancient Jomon Sugi forest in the west are recognized as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. The area is home to trees over 1,000 years old, and Studio Ghibli’s animated film “Princess Mononoke” was filmed here.
The tour then moves to Toyokawa City’s renowned Tezutsu Fireworks Festival, where artisans from across the country bring their handmade cannons to launch fireworks, praying for protection of the city from misfortune.
Finally, the RED Weapon 8K camera captures the capital Tokyo, showcasing classic shots of the Tokyo skyline along with many iconic landmarks.
