Pink cherry blossoms bloom in your palm: Tainan unveils Taiwan’s only “Cherry Blossom Bomb” soda

Remember the romantic sight of pink cherry blossoms fluttering in spring? Now you can not only see them bloom in the palm of your hand, but also drink them down. Tainan’s restaurant Hawaii Grill 夏威夷厨房 has launched a super dreamy pink drink called the “Cherry Blossom Bomb,” available starting at 5 p.m. on weekdays, in limited quantities—once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The owner of Hawaii Grill 夏威夷厨房, Ms. Yang, said that given the recent decline in the milk tea craze in Tainan, she started thinking about what special drink to create. Later, she saw cherry blossom sake on Instagram, but alcoholic drinks have age restrictions, so she came up with the idea of making a Cherry Blossom Bomb. To her surprise, it became an instant hit as soon as it was launched.

The “Cherry Blossom Bomb” is made in limited quantities daily, going on sale at 5 p.m. on weekdays and 3 p.m. on weekends. The drink is made by mixing fruit syrup with sparkling water, along with imported edible cherry blossoms. Through the pink liquid, you can see the blossoms blooming in your hand—a super dreamy beverage that has many customers’ inner girlhoods bursting with joy.

In addition, Hawaii Grill 夏威夷厨房 has recently launched a new “Strawberry Bomb,” with a bottom layer of Calpis jelly drink and a top layer of strawberry juice. When placed in a transparent round bottle, the obvious red-to-white gradient, plus a free sticker included with every purchase, lets you DIY it into the currently most popular mobile game. It is sold in limited quantities daily along with the Cherry Blossom Bomb.
