On November 28, a sharing session on China’s first civilian rescue team’s mission to aid in the Myanmar earthquake was held at the SCALER Outdoor Life Store. It is reported that since the official opening of the SCALER Outdoor Life Store on May 18, the One Foundation Rescue Alliance’s public welfare class has been held here regularly every Wednesday evening. This sharing session, as one of the important contents of the public welfare class, featured key presentations by Jiang Yili, Secretary-General of the One Foundation Rescue Alliance, Lü Zhonghong, founder and captain of the Beijing Green Field Rescue Team, and Wang Ke, captain of the V Rescue Team.

“I believe this rescue mission by the One Foundation Rescue Alliance in response to the Myanmar earthquake was a breakthrough, and its success offers great inspiration to China’s civilian rescue organizations.” This was the evaluation given by Jiang Yili, Secretary-General of the One Foundation Rescue Alliance, regarding the relief effort during the sharing session. When the earthquake struck Myanmar on November 11, the civilian light rescue team dispatched by the One Foundation Rescue Alliance consisted of five members. In addition to the three guest speakers, the other two were Guo Jie, a demobilized soldier from the field army, and Wang Hongjie from the Yunnan Firebee Rescue Team. All had participated in rescue operations during the Wenchuan earthquake, Yushu earthquake, and the 721 extreme natural disaster in Beijing. During the relief process, the One Foundation Rescue Team moved through the hardest-hit villages and towns at the epicenter of the Myanmar earthquake, working together with local rescue teams to clear rubble, stabilize unsafe buildings, and visit and comfort those most affected by the disaster. “When locals learned that the rescue team was from the One Foundation supported by Jet Li in China, they eagerly took photos with the team members and struck 'kung fu' poses,” said Lü Zhonghong, captain of the Green Field Rescue Team.

The entire sharing session concluded with the regular prize draw segment of the public welfare class, drawing enthusiastic participation from the audience. It is reported that in addition to the weekly Wednesday public welfare class held by the One Foundation Rescue Alliance, the SCALER Outdoor Life Store will also irregularly host outdoor travel discussion and sharing sessions, inviting outdoor and travel enthusiasts to share their experiences. Meanwhile, outdoor-themed movies will be screened here every Thursday and Sunday evening to enrich everyone’s leisure life.
