– "Red Bull Energy Challenge Changbai" First Northern China Skiing Competition Northwest Division Successfully Concluded
On January 27, 2013, the Northwest Division of the "Red Bull Energy Challenge Changbai – First Northern China Skiing Competition," sponsored by Red Bull Vitamin Drink Co., Ltd. and organized by Green Field Outdoor Network, was successfully completed. The champions of the snowboard and alpine skiing categories were Speed 1 Team and Snow Goose 2 Team, respectively. The crowning of the Northwest Division champions marked the successful conclusion of the preliminary stage of this competition.

The venue of the Northwest Division — Xinjiang Silk Road International Ski Resort — featured suitable temperatures, year-round wind-free conditions, and ski runs perfectly designed to showcase athletes' skills. This event attracted a total of 25 snowboard teams and 25 alpine skiing teams, involving over 150 participants. Due to the short distance from Urumqi and convenient travel, many skiing enthusiasts came to cheer on their club teammates, further energizing the athletes and driving the event to an exciting high.
Starting Point of the Competition
The boldness and enthusiasm unique to athletes from the Northwest region made the entire competition atmosphere vibrant. The "pursuit race" added a fresh, fun, and challenging element. With the finals set to take place in the distant Changbai Mountain in the northeast, athletes cherished this regional opportunity, striving hard and giving their all during the competition.

Ultimately, six teams including Speed 1 Team and Snow Goose 2 Team secured a spot in the finals. On the podium, they celebrated joyfully, basking in the applause and cheers of fellow Northwestern skiers. With this, the preliminary rounds of the "Red Bull Energy Challenge Changbai – First Northern China Skiing Competition" in the three divisions — Northeast, North China, and Northwest — have all been successfully completed. The champions, runners-up, and third-place finishers of both the snowboard and alpine skiing categories from these three divisions will converge on Changbai Mountain on March 2 to compete for the championship title of the first Northern China Skiing Competition. Let’s look forward to the extraordinary energy of Red Bull and the fiery showdown in the finals.
